How long is from aeroport to Fumara and any place for kiting in Desemder?

It is a 30 minutes drive from the airport to Famara.
Kiting in december can be good but also desapointing because the trade winds have moved to Cabo Verde at this period of the year.
But the swell might be bigger than in summer....
