I understand Wipika plans to release a new board in mid June. I heard it will be one of the new breed of wake style twin tips with straps. Does anyone have details or even rumors of what this board will be like?

Okay, now that you mention it, I found it on the Wipika site. Hard to take an image from their site do to the Flash format. Anyway, here is all they really had on it:

So anybody heard reports on this new board? Any first impressions based on this photo?
Anybody know a store that has them already?

if the holes for the straps come this way, it is bad, since you always need them to be turned a little (my experience). If it is just straight, your little toe will hate you for this!
But if these holes are without pad you can put on a platform with straps, but then it will be heavier.

The outline looks ok so far, but should be tested to tell you more.

The outline and dimensions look identical to my 3 year old Connelly phantom wakeboard, to which I have added two plugs on the one end of the top deck to use as a directional. It works real good and this one is probably a bit lighter, so you should have lots of fun with it.

i was thinking something similar nico. the "new" skate designs look strikingly similar to wakeboards from a couple seasons ago, and the "new" sandal bindings do too. you would be suprised how much potential there is for finding kiteboards at garage sales and flee markets. my hyperlite vero 143 that i am using right now i bought for $50. and if it gets a little beat up it aint no big deal.
later,
rob
