The first event of the Kiteboard Pro World Tour 2002 was under the sign of sun and fun. The wind did not pick up enough and today we did not have suitable conditions for a race as well.

Nevertheless the show was on the beach : demo of skate & BMX, games and music with lots of spectators enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of “Surfers Paradiseâ€

Kiteboarding - 2001 Kiteboard Pro world tour highlights
Flowboarding - Siemens mobile wave, pt 1 (of 2), Durban, SA

Water is one of the most versatile elements on the planet, so we're constantly coming up with new ways to get our watery thrills. So this week, we have two features on the latest watersports.

First up, it's the Kiteboard Pro world tour highlights. It's an extraordinary sight as the boarders make massive jumps, and the tour takes in the Cabo Verde Islands, Sardinia, Paros, Cornwall, New Caledonia and Rio.

Then we're showing the new flowboarding sport in the first part of our report on the Siemens mobile wave tour in Durban, South Africa. Watersports in a shopping mall, can you believe it?

After the UK airing, WW is broadcast through 82 countries in the world with a total distribution of 125 million homes. After 11 years it's Sky's longest running sports show.
