tech info for x2 bar

ok need a litte help a friend just got a x2 and we were setting up the bar , i cant seem to figure out the safty system , i think it should travel up the middle line when you release the bar , and this should flag the kite but in looking at it , it does not or can not travel far enough to depower i must have this set up wrong can some one with a litte info on this system help us out??? thanks

thanks toby i looked at this site and it has a diagram for the leash attachments butim still having a hard time witht this system , the dia agram is a little vague or i just dont get it , the leash should travel up the center line and this should depower the kite but in looking at it the line will fray quickly and this is not the best idea , im not doing something right ??????

the safety is great, better than the one before, since it didn't open up the full time so it still had power. Very dangerous!
If you let go of the bar now, it will pull one depower line and it opens the full way you need it to.
Maybe show it to someone who is an experienced kiter if you are not sure about the setup. It won't be safe if setup wrong.

i hear ya im i am very experienced with kites and depowering systems this is just new , and i think i have it wrong this is why im asking i got the manual but it is not the correct one , i think its from a areo and all my bros are in hatteras and will not be back for a week , i have iit set up as it explains in the site but the center lines will not be the same length ??

cant really tell by that pic it does not show the centerline connection if i think this is correct the center line will tyravel thru the metal loop and up the line to the stopper only problem is the line connertion is kinda large and kools like it will hang up on the loop this does not seem right called a freind on maui and he took all this off he wants to be able to spin without the line wrapping up same reason i took off my old leashes but ive been kiting alone alot and would like to have a depowering system othe then dumping the kite and pulling the spectra till it flags the kite
