On the beach
Brand: Surfactory
Model: Grab 173
Length: 173 cm
Width: 39,5 cm
Volume: NC
Weight: 29 cm
Materials used: CSE, Compressed Sandwich Epoxy

Scoop and bottom: Slightly flat then regularly indented up to the spatulas
Rails: The rails are flat and thin with the joint.
Equipment: Two Surfactory Velcro straps, four 4 cm fins, two heal pads, no leash plug.

Design/Finish: The design is pleasant, duo-coloured. The finish is sober but good. It remains to be seen how it will handle the occasional bumps and shocks.
Specifications: Comfort and wide wind range.

On the water
Ease of Use: Easy to use from the beginning, even if the wind is harsh and the sea rough, one will be able to handle the board easily. It forgives mistakes and is very manoeuvrable. Those not used to TTs will find this model an excellent option to master the TT concept.

Launch: It glides very easily, evidently depending on the wind and riders, and it speeds up progressively.

Gliding characteristics: It doesn’t stick to the water and slices quite well being lightweight and responsive.

Edging: The board offers good grip and direction. It is also very effective for jumping. Heavy riders will experience a bit of difficulty in irregular wind conditions or with onshore waves.

Manoeuvrability: It is very manoeuvrable and light, easy and giving when changing directions or when riding in fakie position. One can even do some nice “slicesâ€
