im movin from ireland to belgium this september and i was wondering if any one could help and tell me what the kitesurfing scene is like there, ill be living in antwerp so its not too far from the sea, but what is the wind like there and what kites should i bring.

Winds should be good all year. There are some beach clubs or surf clubs, which you should join.
All the Belgians I met are very nice and fun to ride with.

Being based in Antwerp you can just as well drive to the southern coast of Holland. Especally in the summertime traffic is less of a hassle. Also, there's a couple of spots in Zeeland that are really close for you, ie. within a half hour of driving. Off course, they have their specific drawbacks (size, oysters, tides, ...), but given the proximity they're well worth considering for that nice afterwork kite session. Speaking of which, apart from the horizontal rain right now, it's looking pretty good right now. Time to load up the car ...
