Hi everybody! I'm in Costa Rica (Central America) and I organize kitesurfing trips. I I also do beginner courses. Here the conditions (warm water, strong winds,no people around) are great. For more info, email me at bertoldi@racsa.co.cr

Hi Nicola,
is there a website for kitesurfing in Costa Rica? Or do you have some nice pictures to post?

http://www.kitexcite.com offers kitesurfing safaris, downwind trips, beginner to advanced instruction, and instructor courses/certifications approved by the International Windsurfing Association. Come to Cabarete, Dominican Republic, one of the top kitesurfing meccas in the world and home to many top competitors!

Hi Marina,
How is the wind beginning of January and in March? A friend of mine just came back from Cabarete and only had 3 days of wind! But I heard that November and December are the month without wind. Is it correct?

Hi Toby:
Yes Oct through Dec is typically low season for Cabarete but Jan through March is high season! Waves tend to be bigger and it's not so hot there. Like anywhere else, wind depends on mother nature but typically, Jan through March is a good time. Last year they had almost 8 months of wind EVERY DAY! I would contact stefan at kitexcite.com directly with your questions. He's lived there for 10 years and would be able to answer you better than me....

ok, thanks for your help.
Before I go to Cabarete, I would contact you and Stefan.
Either first 2 weeks of January or in March.
Then we`ll go for a session!
Keep on flying!

Hi Toby, in Costa Rica winds are stronger between Dicember and April. Depending on the spot you have different ranges of wind, that's good! You choose: between 10 to 40 knots....bye Nicola
