Currently I lay up the glass, put it under vacuum and than paint the board with automotive paint. I've been trying to get away from the painting as it's time consuming and doesn't hold up.
When the board comes out of the vacuum the finish is not perfectly smooth. How do I achieve this? Is it the peel ply? I put peel ply on both sides of the board and than I vacuum it down to my rocker table that has a nice smooth plexi-glass top but I still get some air trapped in there which creates voids. On the top I use a breather on top of the ply and that creates small impressions on the finish.
What I'm trying to do is add pigment to the epoxy, vacuum it and be done with it but I'm no where near close to that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

pm d you Its well worth a look . Instead of car paint ,you can add color pigment with the epoxy . Peel ply will give you a matt fine stipple finish. For a high gloss glass finish theres only one way . Have a look @ wwww.rfsurf.co.uk
