Flying with Iberia AirLines HELP!

Hi All,

I'm flying next month to surf. Unfortunately the airlines company is Iberia.
We are three surfers we have three boards: 125,129 & 135.
Dose the airline company will demand an extra charge for the boards?
What can i do?

Yes for our Ozone bag 140 cm long we had to pay € 25.- and it is for any type of sport equipment with a max of 30 kg per person.

But remember to advice in advance ( size of the bag and weight ) , I did it on-line and had no problems at all .

i flew iberia two years ago from cabarete- no problems. didn't even ask me what's in the bag...

When travelling by plane ask direcy the airline, and don't go by word of mouth. All airlines have their policies and are quide simple and clear. Most ppl think that with Low fares like ryanir it's impossible to carry your gear, when in fact you just have to book in advanca a "sports baggage" for 30€ whic is sill cheap. If you want we have some new golfbags in. Actually they are proper kitebags, but with "golfbag" written on the utside. on the inside, they have board separators, and they are padded like any other travelling boardbag.

So what should I take?
130 cm surfboard bag or a 140cm golf bag?
