Hi guys,
when spinning on jumps, I find it much more difficult to spin forward, as I can't just let the board slip out underneath me.
If I float long enough, I can manage 1-2 flat forward spins. However, I would like to be able to spin vertically. How do I achieve this?
Thanks
Nico

forward is IMO harder to spin.
Vertically?
how do you spin now? you should spin already vertically?!

What I meant is that my board is usually below the height of my head. Spinning vertically, I see as getting inverted. That somehow seems difficult to me.

try to spin in a squatting position (Hocke) then you have the board under your head

Ich möchte aber vertikal rotieren, so dass das Board über mir ist. Nicht drunter

so you want to do inverted foward spins?

The way that i find them the easist to do is as you jump tuck you head in to your front shoulder and as you rotate 1/4 turn bone out (intially it realy helps to throw your feet up and out above your head) in to a lazy invert over the portion of the rotation that your back is facing in a flat rotation. When up side down spot your landing and follow thru with the spin and kite redirect.

The forward spin has been the easist for me to learn good kite control during spins. If you are having problems with the kite position just throw the foward (jump and tuck that head into your front shoulder)and with your front hand half way along the bar let go with back hand and this will bring the kite back into the right position.

this is the way i have found them the best for me to do. hope it helps. big stalled out stiffy backs and fowards give me a cool feeling as i look down at the water upside down and going fowards

cheers

shane

Don't drink and drive, when you can surf and fly!
