Murdoc, why dont you just use the main loop without using the chickenloop?
This way, if you really need to depower, you can still do it. And plenty of people do handlepasses with 4 line bars...

there's a difference between mainloop annd chickenloop - the bar turns better in the chickenloop.
and the adjuster's too far away.

for easy kite-turning hooked in a "normal" harnessline try a mono-swifel-loop (rigth word for it?) for example from dakine, no difference to the chickenloop.

but the best on going with only 2 lines is, if you let go the bar, wich happens quite often while training the handlepass or other new moves, the lines will not tangle at all (but sometimes the brindel... :smile:. if you let go the bar with 4 lines, it tangles soooo often and then you have to swim back ...
