Anyone tried swim goggles?

I've tried a few different types of sunglasses without much luck. Anyone tried swim goggles for kiting? I'm really just looking for something to protect my eyes from the UV.

Yes, I did when I first started out. I used the Swedish goggles from Speedo. They come in different colours, but I used the reflecting ones. They protect your eyes from UV light. Very good for protecting your eyes from spray as well. Swedish goggles are not comfortable for everyone though. As a swimmer I would suggest to use the Speedo Speed Socket goggles. They come in a reflecting colour as well, and they fit much more comfortably than the swedish goggles.

Try some of the stuff from Wiley-x. I have some that have either earpieces or a strap. Also, nice gaskets and polarized.

Like I said, I've tried several glasses. Not interested in trying anymore. Just wondering if anyone's tried swim goggles and whether there's a problem with them.

As a former swimmer and polo player I wouldn't. You have to keep them from fogging up, and even the anti-fog goggles don't do that well. (But spitting in them does.) If you have an impact to the eye area, goggles can make a bad situation worse. I use H2Optics.

Fogging is sometimes an issue, but a new pair should have a good anti-fog coating on them and last for quite a few sessions. Also, kinda cool to be able to check out the reef (down in the tropics) after a crash.

I have tried swim mask like these and they have worked quite well. You just need to get a clip to connect them to your shirt so that they don't get lost in a big crash.

there's nothing wrong with the Oakley goggles, actually I use these to suspend an old pair of glasses for my blind ass. By the way does anyone know of a way to reduce fog on prescription glasses, thats the only thing that sucks about cold water.
