i know tilmann,

and what i have seen so far leaves plenty of room for improvement in the future.
it would be good to see though what the current state of gear development is.
i'm very keen to do some development work on fins and boards for racing.

racing is what i grew up with and what i know best and had the most success with up to now.

are zou racing too tilmann?

cheers
boogie

no
have not enough money to pay entry fee = 55 Euro + PKRA membership = 60 Euros
I have only one good kite for racing. Thats my 9m caution Answer. Thats too small .
And this is how the winner board from Sami looks like:
Outline: wave
Rocker: speed
Straps far behind
4 fins, very interesting: the front fins are bigger than the rear fins,
fin positions: very close behind/in front of the rear strap

here my board, built in 2001. Dave Tyburski is on 8th position with it.
It has bigger front fins now which are a little bit more in front for better upwind performance.

sure, I will try to get anything on video for you.
Armin shortly tested the board today, but the wind was too light...but he will go for it in the next race Tilmann...I can't wait how he performs with it...but there might be another surprise...we had an idea today and if this works...the winner will be someone else...(no, not me).

no wind today so no races!

Tomorrow looks excellent, let's see if we do some races as well, since we have to do Freestyle and Kitecross!

today we had 2 more races.

On the first race I too a helmet cam to get some footage for the event film crew to get footage from during the race.
I had a great start, and was after the first round behind Sky and Ken, so I was really good...I was a bit downwind of Ken and turned my head to film him during his ride...but then I didn't pay attention to my kite and dropped it...then Dirk and others passed me...well, we got good footage, so all is good! I had the Flysurfer Speed 15 and the Spleene Door 164 and finished 9th.

On the second race I was very powered with the 19 Flysurfer Silver Arrow and the Spleene Door 164, so I had to fight with the power and finished 7th, which was good.

Again, Sami Gali won both, but Sean Farley was leading before Ken Winner, but on the last buoy Sean's lines touched the buoy and his kite zoomed to the wind window and into Ken Winner's lines...so both couldn't finish, and Sami won this race as well!

Kristin Boese won her first race today, and Gina finished 2nd.

Current ranking after 5 races:

Women
1. Gina Esteva
2. Steph Bridge
3. Kristin Boese
4. Angela Peral
5. Sabrina Lutz
...

If it stay like this, Steph Bridge will be world champion.

Men
1. Sami Gali
2. Sky Solbach
3. Ken Winner
4. Sean Farley
5. Armin Harich
6. Bruno Sroka
7. Alberto Rondina
8. Dirk Hanel
9. Toby Braeuer
10. Gunnar Biniasch
11. David Tyburski
12. Michael Kaspar
13. Oliver Koenig
14. Paul Caswell
...

Gunnar was on a Takoon and a big directional. He had no big PL with him.

Today only light Wind. But I could do kiting first time with a hydrofoil which was also very nice experiance.

Tommorow forcast is also very low. Than it will pick up again.

Bye, Armin

yes, he was on a Takoon Nova I think.
He might get Lynns tomorrow. Will be interesting if this does change his ranking.
