Review for Naish Torch08 2008 9.0
Times tested: 6-10
Range: 14kn to 33kn
Good: Solid construcion. Good low end and good high end. Nice pop and boost. Light bar pressure. SMOOTH LANDINGS.
Bad: Although the 2008 bar looked awesome, but I prefered last year bar for reason I don't know. Just something really insignificant!
Review: I had the chance to try my new Torch 08 9m last weekend. The Saturday session was little wind. I started with the kite and the wind was like 14 to 17 knots. I had to work the kite and immediately noticed that you can generate good power that would keep me upwind easily. The other three kiters were all on 12m kites. So, was happy with the low end. In the afternoon, the wind picked up like 20 knots and I was amazed how easy was this kite in doing tricks. I did all my usual tricks fronts, backs, raileys, unhooked raileys, kiteloops, downloops in the same session. The kite looped with power. Not little and not enormous. Just what we need to feel the pull of the kite and land peacefully. The kite had very nice boost. The thing that I liked the most is how much the landings were smooth. I was landing all jumps and loops perfectly. You can feel if you wanna more power and you always know where the kite is. Bar pressure is less than last year. Similar to the 2006.
On Sunday, the wind was very stron and reached 30+. I was riding the kite easily and the depower strap was half pulled but I could handle much more. when it went strronger, the jumps were not decented and went out on my Boxer SLE6m and continue my day!
