I use the NSI Antibindings with the wide straps when I don't use bindings.
I found the first time I used them, I had great grip. When I mounted them on another board, I found the grip to be wanting. Funnily, I had them mounted the wrong way around the first time (pads are assymetrical), when I liked the grip. May that is it?!
