Any word on Ozone for 08?

Postby VineyardKite » Fri Dec 07, 2007 11:19 pm

I know Ozone likes to wait until after the first of the year to release info on kites for the upcomming season, but I KNOW someone out there has the skinny on what's new for 08...... So..... Anyone?

Yes, Ozone releases their 2008 kites in 2008.

As far as I know there will be a new Light, Sport and Edge. ´

The pictures I have seen are very nice :-)

Here a pic posted in one of the Spanish forums

Image

It is from a Edge 08 ..... as you can see the wing tips are now more rounded up, also the 5th line bridle has 2 more attachments and the struts have a type of pencil thin diameter , also no one pump for the Edge ( thank you )

No more anti invert lines ? I like them since they do work .

Looking into the front line attachments it looks like the CG is the same as the 07 kites = light bar pressure = short de-power throw .

Hard to evaluate a kite from just one pic but I really hope Ozone offers on next year kites different set ups options

Panchito,

any reason you don't like the one pump on the edge? I must just be getting lazy, but the one pump on the Sport is the cats' ass :D

Oh yea. Any inside scoop on the "New" bar set up?

Can't wait for the new ones!!!

Well the one pump works great until you need to repair something .... had enough experience with SS one pump kites before .

Also you gain just a bit pumping it but I am way faster than any of my " sport " buddies packing our kites ...

Regarding the new bar .... I think Twanny did post pics of the new bar some time ago .... I am sure it´s in the Ozone web page somewhere .... but it looks really good so far .

Just look at the Snowkite section on the Ozone website for the new bar!

Edge has One pump this year as so has the Light,...;)
Still anti invert lines on kites and no different options for settings,..

Yep one pump is on all 3 Ozone Instinct models for 08 -yay!

One pump kites have virtually no issues with bladder twisting, and since the Ozone/SS/Cabinha externally plumbed systems have been in use we rarely see problems.
Plus if we do its easy to isolate where the problem is because external systems have a lock off clip on each strut.

One pump (external) is the future for all the top brands, IMO

Looking forward to seeing these babys in the flesh, and flying them.

ONE PUMP ON THE EDGES? :o Music to my ears :D I'm thinking about 13m edge,9m light for this years quiver..... 13m from 10-20-something freestyling and the light for the waves. Saw the new bar setup and it looks trick. These guys keep killing it every season with solid state fo the art equip. Love it :thumb:
