LiteWave SurfShape 5'8'' - Tested in Italy

Hello Guys,

Four Kiters of us, have buyed the Board in object.
Arrived in Italy in 4 days on 6 dec. and already tested yesterday with 20 Knots and waves of 2 meters in my home spot:

I'm VERY HAPPY of my choice, and my friends too !!

It's my first surfboard buyed, but in the last 2007 i have tryed many: North, Naish, Loose, Liquid force.

The reason why I have choose this board is the Quad Fin !
Also seeing it in pictures and magazines I have noted the good technicalities as the pads in 3 piece, the mini tuttle box fin, and the leatherette asimmetrical straps. The only improvable note are this one, the straps are a little bit rigid, causing vesication on instep. (perhaps are new?)

The Board is FANTASTIC !!

As read and heard, the SURFSHAPE ....

IT SNAPPY TURN !! ..... IT REALLY SNAPPY TURN !!!

...at the minimal press of foot...

First I was thinking 4 fins will deboost the turning speed, contrarily, NO !
The well balanced volume on all the board, and the perfect thickness give a thinness sensation beating waves and going out, never bumping on the water.
Surfing downwind the waves I feel a very reactive surf any time, in bottom turns and cut backs. The grip on the lip is supreme !!! 4 fins do their work !!!

I only want to say thank you Dave Turner for this great board, from four happy Italian Kitesurfers !!

Today I have had a new wave session, with this lovable board and GK TRIX 9m with original 21m lines, in the same spot .

Togheter TRIX 9m and SurfShape 5'8'' are PERFECT for wave riding, the 9m is really very fast, predictable and grunty, ideal for repentine turning, and The board is fast, simply awesome !

cool how we grown men can be so freaking happy about a new toy. im the same. getting myself a flyboard and a couple of tiny C kites for xmas and im already so giddy you'd think i was getting a yacht or something.

when litewave makes a 6" plus board i may take another look.

Are these the 2m waves you tried the board on in the background?

I agree with suRff, it is too small, ideally you should be able to paddle it.

Only the straps are improvable, more softness is needed.

INOKI, I think you should turn straps the right way because on the picture they look wrongly placed

I Know but,
No, Mario, this is the only way to have a perfect position of the foot inside the strap and also is possible rotate the front foot for fast turning and doing bottom turns.
