Thailand info mid jan to mid feb.

Hi All
Ill be staying in Thailand from mid Jan to mid Feb.

are there any recommended spots within reasonable distance from local airports. i'm staying in BKK and looking for spots for the weekends 3-4 days, each week, distance is no object as long as i can cover it by air or ferry.
