Cancún to Isla Blanca transportation

Hi,

We will be going to Cancún in Feb-March this year. We plan on riding at Isla Blanca and Playa del Carmen depending on the winds and conditions. Now, is there an cheap and easy transportation from and to Cancún besides renting a car? Cheap taxis, buses? Or is it just better to rent a car there?
