Idaho Snowkite Event

Postby Snowkite_Soldier » Sun Dec 23, 2007 3:02 am

Soldiers on Feb 23-24th. Free lessons, music and great riding in Fairfield, ID.
Soldier Mountain Ski area and Sun Valley ski resort are 2 local ski areas if the epic wind and riding conditions aren't enough to get you here.

The event does sound awesome! One of my favorite places to kite and unfortunately I will be out of the country! Really kind of bummed about that. Any other events planned for Fairfield? :girl:

Soldiers Unite

Postby WindFlow » Thu Jan 03, 2008 11:36 pm

Excellent to see Snowkite Soldier putting out the carpet inviting others to their snowkite mecca. Those who have not seen this area really need to check it out. There is some great footage of Chasta and others shredding the Camas valley in Motz's latest snowkite video, Project Cloud 9.

I am planning on making a road trip from here in Seattle, going first to the Montana Snowkite Rodeo and then hitting this event to catch up with the ID riders, then on to UT for the Ozone Snowkite Masters. I currently have room if your interested in rolling in the WindFlow Sports Adventure Van and sharing the cost of the roadtrip.

Peace

Wow! I'm so excited to hear such positive feedback. Things are really coming together and with the latest series of storms, I will be able to run this event in some amazing kite terrain. This season, we are kiting places we have only dreamt about in years past. 40 inches of snow has fallen in the first 10 days of the year. Jackson Hole kiter, please bring your sleds! I'd like to book out the entire lodge, so if your thinking about coming, please go to my blog and reserve a space. I'm trying to keep lodging as cheap as possible and can't wait to show you all what Idaho has to offer.

This is going to be the biggest thing to hit the camas!!!!!!!!! I will surely be there. The snow is freakin epic this year. Everybody I know is talking about this event. Let me know if there is anything that Idaho Kitesports can do to help.

Thanks again for putting this together Monty. It is about time that somebody did an event in the Camas.

Cheers,

Ryan -IKS-
