Hi Team,
We are in the process of putting together Crew event number two for 2008! This will be our first ever foray into the realm of snowkiting and we expect it to be a huge success and a blast. Details as follows.
Date: March 7-9th.
Location: McCullough Lake, located about halfway between Kelowna, British Columbia and Big White Ski Resort.
Accommodation: TBA. We will either stay in Kelowna or at Big White and it will be reasonable.
Cost: You will be responsible for your own travel expenses, accommodation, meals etc. There may be a nominal entry fee to help cover any unforeseen expenses or for an event shirt, hoody etc.
Getting there: Kelowna has an International aiport (YLW) so it is a piece of cake. Your best bet from the US is Westjet, AirCanada, or Alaskaairlines. Alternatively, you can fly into Vancouver (YVR) which is serviced by most major NA carriers and them make the four hour drive to Kelowna. It's very scenic but the drive can be very gnarly in the winter and is not for the faint of heart....
You will need to come with your own equipment, but we will be providing 08 kites for demo purposes.
PLAN B: If we get skunked Big White is only 30 minutes away so one way or the other we will be riding!
