Bocas Del Toro all-pro Wave Expedition

Postby kiteodysseys » Thu Oct 25, 2007 10:46 pm

Not really a contest, but certainly a major big wave mission with some of the biggest names in the sport:

This January 12-20, 2008 the best wave riders in the world will descend on Bocas Del Toro, Panama for an invite-only expedition. The waves of Bocas have been compared to Tahiti and Indo, but they've never been ridden like this. What better way to break open this fantasy land of jungle, white sand beaches and massive waves than to bring a handful of the pioneers and best up and coming big names in the sport? In tow are several major national adventure-sports magazines, two film crews, three photographers and a world of unknown.

The Invitation list:

Robby Naish (Naish)
Pete Cabrinha (Cabrinha)
Raphael Salles (F.One Kiteboarding)
Will James (Blade Kites)
Josh Mulcoy (Flexifoil)
Felix Pevic (Airush)
Mauricio Abreu (Liquid Force)
Jeff Tobias (Slingshot)
Martin Vari
Sky Solback (North Kites)
Joao Pedro Simonsen (Best)
Skip Wunderlich

Unfortunately I don't think Robby can attend, but I'm hopeful the rest will make it.

More updates soon. To find out more, visit:

ah ah ah, what a joke !!!

Some much noise about absolutely nothing !!! What a waist of time and money !

At least the PROs had good food on the boat...next time pick a real wind and wave location !

Saludos

Chris
