I can't answer the above question, but I'd like to add one of my own-
Where can I find the best deal on getting there from the states?

as far as I know it is not the best time for wind.
Best winds are from June til September.
Nico Kux should be able to answer this one better. I'm sure he is gonna reply soon.

I would never go back there in December. Wanted to learn to kite and had 4 hours of wind in 10 days... They told me Xmas really was the worst period.

Here's a link to the Club Mistral Station in Le Mourne (the famous spot in the south - One Eye)
http://www.club-mistral.com/de/destinations/weather/9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On that page you find the current wind conditions as well as a webcam. Check it out.

I am planning to be there in March so I hope conditions will be good.

Hi Guys.
Our summer months can have wind but usually not reliable. (20/30% probability for kiteable wind) The big kite centres will tell you differently but they also have some commitment to fill rooms.
Southern hemisphere Winter SE trade winds are the ones you want, and think about other spots than le morne if you are not too keen on overcrowded by big groups action.
All ther bamph is here
