It has been ten months since we held our fundraiser for Jacquline Steves, the 6 year old Maui girl who was diagnosed last year with Ewing’s Sarcoma -- an extremely aggressive form of bone cancer.
As you may know, Jacquline is the daughter of Vince and Annette Steves. Her father recently brought me up to speed on her condition, which I wanted to share with you.
Over the past year, Jacquline has undergone fourteen rounds of painful chemotherapy treatments to fight the cancer, which had spread to her lungs. She has also endured eight intensive surgeries, one of which involved replacing half of her pelvis to remove the cancer from the bone.
Once she is finished with chemotherapy, Jacquline’s next step will be to undergo several weeks of radiation treatment. They will then implement a series of nutritional cleansings to deal with all the toxins left in the body from the chemotherapy. You can learn more by visiting Jacquline’s website: 4jacquline.com
Jacquline will celebrate her 7th birthday on April 16. She is an amazing little girl who has been through a lot this past year, and is truly an inspiration us all.
“An Evening for Jacquline†- Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 8:00PM
There will be a benefit show at Jacques’ Bistro in Paia, Maui on Saturday, March 15 at 8:00PM to support Jacquline’s continued fight with this severe cancer.
Live music will be performed by various artists, and 100% of your admission donation will go directly to Jacquline.
This year’s event will be a posh “Maui formal†affair. It is a great opportunity for the Maui community to dress up and rock out for a worthy cause. See attached flyer for details.
If you would like to help, please spread the word by printing and posting the attached flyer wherever you work, and forwarding this email to your friends and family. You can also visit Jacquline’s website to donate: 4jacquline.com/html/donations.html
We look forward to you joining us and showing your support.
