been wondering the same thing.

How does this kite compare to the other '08 C kites (Fuel, Torch, Vegas) that seem to be made for freestyle/wakestyle?

I have also wondered about that.
I am especial interested in the big sizes as well.
I also like to hear about depower and jumping.

Here in Denmark we do not see much to Airush.

7.5

Very solid/stable wing. Fast, very good depower. Very effective overall design without the bullshit features that may mess up your session. 7.5 is a cool size.

Good jumps.

Did not hook a big kiteloop, just a low one - a nice violent twang , very windy and fun. Want to see someone doing a mega loop on this one as the guinea pig though.

Rode it on 4 lines - stable as - 5th line good for learning freestyle stuff without getting suicide twanged.

bar and lines pretty cool design

yeah check one out its good. Isn't the non inverting torch dead? I like fuels too (11m and under)

tom Herbert rides them i think - check for some recent vid footage of him as he could show the potential.

Hey,

My mates have used the 7.5 and 9.5 for wakestyle and kiteloops a number of times up at Lancelin.

We had the 7.5 on the setting with the front pigtail furthest towards the back of the kite so it didn't fly to the edge of the window too quick. Seemed to give some pretty massive pop over 25 knots(it was around 28 solid, with 75kg guys) and some HUGE kiteloops with the kite catching them every time even a double loop :P . One of them mentioned it felt pretty similar to his fuel, but obviously it is a lot quicked through the window when you want it to be which works a treat for loops.

Tom Hebert also ride them, http://www.tom-hebert.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topi ... =generator" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Link to a review one of the guys wrote.

Thanks
Matt

What makes it a great wavekites, is also what makes it a shitty wakestyle kite..

Way to fast...
Not enough pull unhooked...
When you really power up for the pop, it flyes to the edge...

You don't use a race car in mud, and you don't use a 4+4 on a track. :cool2:

Stick to the Torch/Fuels/Vegas for that. IMHO.

Hey mate,

Personally I was of the same opinion until I saw my mates rideing it for wakestyle( admittedly we moved the pigtails towards the back of the kite to make it more stable and less quick flying to the edge of the window.) He was getting the same height dureing s-bends etc. as he did on his torch3 10m.

I guess it come downs to how powered you are rideing, they were very powered and in 28knots on the 7.5m with twin tips. Whereas i ride the 7.5m in 16-23 knots on my surfboard and trim it so there is no power when i hold it in one spot(useing the kites ability to be sined to generate power).

Thanks
Matt
PS Don't diss until you have tried it

Hi i ride the 08, 9.5m generator.

It is a lightning fast kite with very violent hard jerking kiteloops in everything over 20knts.

I am 80kgs and i cant ride it in less than 16knts.

I also have to say it is not easy to do unhooked freestyle tricks since the kite moves very fast forward, especially having it low when popping. It is sometime too responsive when pulling on the bar. The fifth line seems to give more stability.

Boosting is very good, but i have to keep moving it in stronger winds to control my landing.

I will put up some pictures of loops and action with the Generator soon..
