Doubt about what kite buy? Bandit 9 - Evo 9 - Rev 9 ?

Hi guys i'm from Ceara - Brazil and i'm planning to buy a new kite, but i'm really in doubt of what kite choose, i'm interested in Bandit 9, Evo 9 and Rev 9. I enjoy freeriding and i really like great depower, hangtime, a good windrange and an incredible durability. Since most of the guys from this forum are from Europe, i'd like to know your opinion, because these kites are not very well known here among the local riders.

I think you cannot go wrong with any of these kites.
Knowing how expensive kites in Brazil are, I would go for the one you get the cheapest.
And maybe the bar and safety system should be a decision factor as well.

If you like big jumps the Bandit would be the better Delta shape kite for you. EVO is built better for surfing since it sits deeper in the wind window.

Can't comment on Delta's -vs- a REV but since the REV is also a surfing focused kite, it will sit deeper in the wind window and likely be better suited for wakestyle -vs- big jumps. I am a huge fan of fancy pully/bridle configurations as I think they perform the best across the entire kite's range.

As for relaunch, nothing beats a delta shape.

Throw in the price factor, and the Bandit is the winner.

Hopefully you can find a local dealer that will let you demo each of them and pick the one that you like the best. Maybe you can nicely ask another local who has one for a quick spin if demos are hard to find.

The bandit is excellent in the waves with extra depower it makes a good waveriding kite. It has been around for a while now there are many write ups on the forums. If you want to use it just for freestyle you can change the de-power line - the bandit comes with a shorter line on the depower.

Relauanching the kite is amazing if you drop the kite the kite willl nearly relaunch itself. But go for a demo from a dealer first.

I dare to predict that the Evo will beat Rebel sales numbers in 2009 !
The Evo is new, unknown to most. North needed something to compete with bows and their great relaunch for kite schools. Tie newbies to the brand.
That´s why the marketiers targeted the entry level firstly.
But the Evo is FAR more than a beginners kite. Try before buying anything else.
The overall concept is totally convincing. The honor goes to F-One, but you will find
lovely features on the North control bar and a different feel in flight. So go for a testride !
