power lock?

Postby KCKS » Fri Mar 14, 2003 9:20 pm

Has anyone tried the Cabrinha power lock bar? I am thinking of getting one and I would like some opinions? How easy is it to unhook from fixed to depower? :?:

Very easy to unhook. I can usually do it with one hand. I have only had mine out for about 3 sessions now and I am totally loving it.

Go for it and get one!

Which set of "Fangs" do you use?

Using the inbetween fangs out of the three they gave me. I find that it locks perfectly most of the time, although when I have the kite at its upper limit (and hence sheeted in to the maximum) it doesn't lock as easily, and I have to pay more attention to it to keep it locked, but just keeping one hand on the bar seems to do the trick just fine.

I prefer the smallest fang. It allows effortless latching and unlatching. I can latch or unlatch, with one hand on the bar, in mid-jump with ease.

hi CCKC!
Cab power lock looks nice and user friendly and I have never heard any complaints about it.

With the Cabrina Power lock system if you set bar to lock at full power are you still able to oversheet the kite when needed

DO IT! Cabrinha got it right with this bar; and the price is most competitive as well. I use the smallest fangs..easiest to lock and unlock; can do it easily with one hand and in the air
