Nice,
If you think I was kidding when I said most new comers feel they have it dicked, you no longer have to take my word for it...
as you can see, that's just how it is...and why in the end I'm happy enough to say
hey, go right ahead, knock yourself out...that rotor is clearly not your problem.

Now that is the funn...iest shit i have seen on this forum in a while. I had an image of an old man Fo policing his slice of kiter heaven....a big lake with dust devils, rotors and tumble weeds, all topped off with pissing mexans and the Latin Kings stealing shit out of his RV.... No worries....rock on with your rotors on.

don't forget the snakes...
Never forget the snakes, they like to crawl under your leading edge to get out of the sun....
Too fucking hot and pissed off to rattle....
Just BAM. they're a special sub-species called (appropriately) Mojave Green, o' do google them...
Crotalus scutulatus
Actually it has been over there for a few years now, but the snowbirds have yet to get the memo, I guess??
imagine that...
Area 51 is where we're hanging now...
and no, it's even worse, but as of yet kite-trash free....and that's pretty damn sweet...

6 mile cove is absolutely the sketchiest weekend launch. Find a spot between all the cars and camps then negotiate out to the water where there's 100 kids immediately down wind of you. Then sent your kite over every one to get out then pray your session has a south wind and not a south west. From my understanding when it goes west it turns to crap. If you go downwind hope you have booties or something attatched to your harness or your feet will be raw by the time you walk back upwind to the launch. Definately an eye opener to see dust devils and water spouts when you're out kiting. Met a real cool local named Ryan who helped me out alot. Kites on fuels. What's up Ry?! Wayne you should come down to slc in may when the forecast is good for Rush lake. Last weekend was 7m, warm and glassy.

This is why week-enders and snowbirds alike are such bad mojo for your spot----they have to kite!!! THEY DO STUFF LIKE THIS AND THAT GIVES KITING THE BAD NAME IT SO RICHLY DESERVES... no biggie, it's a done deal now anyway. "had to wave your kite over hundreds of kids just to get out?...." Way to go bro, thanks for toughing it out like that for us, we think you're just the best... Like I say no biggie, he had plenty of week-end company doing exactly the same thing. can you say kite trash? cnski wrote: 6 mile cove is absolutely the sketchiest weekend launch. We use the rest rooms for coyote traps at night...
I'm nice enough to post a sign though:
CAUTION RESTROOM MAY CONTAIN WILD PISSED OFF ANIMALS
stick in the door, baited rope around the crapper ---auto door closer Viola !!!
200 days on strings and no time left to help yourself?? Seems you really don't know shit, got to go begging on-line? cannot even find the info on page one of this very thread ?
ok??
....maybe if you knew how to spell it?
as if eh?
it's still cold and north, that was, and still is your answer, maybe a rising thermal snatched that post right up?
we sure do miss you, if only you were here to help us...
we've been so very lost without you...
help me, help me---NO that's right that's your story...isn't it?
yeah, I got it...but you seem to still be coming up short?
cold and north, but looking good for the week-end...
wink.

And o'er the dusty lakebeds and dry stretches did the mulltitudes come blessed with the ignorance of children and yo did thou attempt to ed-u-cate them to the evil ways of the devil that lay within.
To no avail. Ye, I say.
To no avail.
And then came the do-sayers. Shouldering wisdom unworthily garnered, attempting rectification.
Sadists posing as caregivers, otherwise know as ambulance chasers. Failed narcissism personified.
So I say unto you, give respect where it is due, and do not tread heavily upon that which is foreign, for you may reap the sorrows of the misbegotten, and be cast into the eternal piths of the Las Vegas recycling facility.

Kite trash , gusty wind, snakes, and local yahoos... Sounds like every mountain beach I've ever been to, but warmer. The entertainment sounds like it's worth a trip even on a questionable north wind. I'm Interested. Aren't there other launches when it's north? And afflatus, easy there on the kiting community, you sound old and pissed off. You trying to start something?
