KiteFest Alaska 2008
On the weekend of summer solstice (June 20-25), Homer Alaska will host the first annual KiteFest Alaska at Mariner Park.
Mission
To gather all Alaskan kitesurfers in one place to meet one another and form a tighter community. Of course kiters from outside the state are welcome as well. We will also have equipment demos and informal classes with such topics as: Self Launching, Self Landing, Water Relaunch, Board Tricks, Safety, and some general classes intended for total beginners.
General Info
If you come from outside Homer we would like to make your stay here as fun, easy and affordable as possible. We, the organizers (Traveler Terpening & Trace Carlos) are happy to answer your question and point you in all the right directions.
Accommodations:
Pay camping is available at Mariner Park and in other locations around Homer. We also have a million
B&B's. In special circumstances we may be able to place some of you in the homes of local kiters.
