I got invited to join the Nobile US demo tour, traveling around the USA and Canada for one month.

May 1st: Key Biscayne - Crandon Beach Park

A nice day with NE winds, starting around 15 knots and in the later afternoon increasing up to 20 knots. Shorts and lycra were fine, but a bit chilly, so thin wetsuit or neoprene was excellent.

May 2nd: Jupiter or Juno Kitebeach

The Jupiter Kitebeach or Juno Beach had 10-15 knots of wind. Small wave breaking on shore, onshore Easterly wind. Sunny and warm.

May 3rd: Fort Desoto East Beach

Early in the morning the wind was up to 14 knots from SE, dying at around 10 am. Sunny and warm.

May 4th: no wind in Florida!

Leaving Florida West coast and driving to Florida East coast, back to Jupiter. But no wind, so we headed up to Vero Beach to the Piper factory, where the plane from Dariusz gets produced.

And we even saw it waiting for him! You should have seen the smile on Dariusz face! It is Christmas time! But pick up time is on Monday! Only one more night to sleep Dariusz!

May 5th & 6th: still no wind in Florida!

Nobile team rider Mike "The Knife" Blomvall from Sweden arrived yesterday directly from the PKRA Venezuela to join the Nobile USA demo tour. The tour is currently stuck in Vero Beach, Florida. Here the Piper is located and where the plane is ready to be taken around the USA. Dariusz from Nobile has to get instructions and do test flights on the plane first before the tour continues. We should fly out tomorrow with first daylight and fly to Houston, Texas. The forecast looks excellent! Detailed info on where we will go can be found in the Event & Demo forum:

May 7th + 8th

The plane is still not ready and has some problems. Mike and Toby didn't want to wait in Vero Beach anymore without wind, and Mike had to be at the competition, they rented a car and drove for 21 hours from Vero Beach Florida to Corpus Christi, Texas. The weather here has about 30°C and the water about 28°C. The wind today was weaker than the days before, about 10-14 knots

May 9th: US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA

Excellent conditions today for the first day of the US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. Partly clouded, but 30°C air and 28° water. The wind always comes up around noon from SE, and blows very steady. 15-20 knots and little kicker waves close to the beach.
5 races for kiting and windsurfing were held, no freestyle, but the freestylers did their freeride show for the spectators.

May 10th: US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA - Day 2

Second day of the US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. Lighter winds then yesterday with about 10-15 knots. We some racing and the first round of freestyle.

May 11th: US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA - Day 3

3rd and last day of the US Wind and Water Open in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. In the morning the wind was nukin 30+ knots, and the freestyle competition started around noon. The wind got weaker during the day, but in the first heats the riders used 7 sqm kites, switching later to 9-12 sqm kites.
