THis is what kiteboarding should look like. Powered, low kite, full bindings, and little room for error. Pushing the sport in the right direction.

Wow... it is funny to see how two people's opinions could be so different. I have total respect for all the riders and the danger of the moves, however I feel the structures look very artificial and don't add-value to the amazing conditions that exist at this location.
Sliders are to waves, as, terrain parks are to big mountain backcountry skiing.

I'm all for some soul wave riding. Behinds true wakestlye thats what i love. I agree with that analogy 100%. Just once you ride that stretch of beach more than 100 times you get to see the kind of things that hatteras has to offer, like the perfect place to errect sliders in waist high butter flat water. It does also offer some awsome conditions for some wave riding.

Sorry ..I got to chime in.
Hatteras does have sick conditions, but only in VERY select spots does it have "butter flat water"
Call it "flatter" water, but realistically it's wind chopped water, and only "butter flat" in small select spots.
I love the area, but call it what it is.

Why not have both / have it all? I like it flat, I live waves. I am getting into obstacles at the cable park. Just let's not have sliders etc. everywhere as some places are so beautiful they should like entirely natural when you leave at the end of the day.
