Yep , the fin is a centerboard from an old Mistral windsurfer.
I did get out in very light winds today ( 8 to 12 MPH) and it does work although I think I have a bit too much
angle in the rear foil, it took quite a bit of front foot pressure to keep it from popping out of the water. I did get a few 100
meter runs up on the foil but, trying to learn to ride a foil in ultra light winds and with waves isnt recomended , with every
wave the foil rises and then "pops" out the back of the wave making life difficult , anyway, I decreased the angle of the rear foil and will try again in flat water although I have to wait for a high tide because all flat water here is only a couple feet deep.
I think once its "tuned" and I get some time on it the effort will have been worthwhile, actually, I pretty stoked it works at all.
