I've got a pulley bar I've been using infrequently. Right now it just has a fixed loop, no swivel, no quick release. (I know, I know) I'd like to make it safer and more user friendlily.
I'd like to get a fixed loop with a quick release and a swivel but I can't really find one anywhere. Does anyone have a place I could get one on do I just need to cannibalize another bar?

I actually think I've seen that one before. One of the guys in my area uses that specific loop. I guess that the length they have, 13.25", 14.25", and 15.25" is the length of tubing in the loop? or is it the length from the bottom of the loop to the bar?

I would guess the measurement is from the bar to the bottom of the loop.
Seems like such things exist, but are hard to find.
Maybe the one from the Best pulley bar could be available as a spare?

Maybe the red ball is a quick-release?

Cabrinha Swivel loop:

Can this be used? No quick release on the loop itself, but there is a swivel..

Kosh, if you were going to mod a Cabrinha, you would probably just screw the red stopper balls onto the powerline just above and just below the bar. I think most fixed riders would want a Best type chicken loop which opens the loop, so they dont lose it if they activate the release, but locking most normal depower systems at the bar seems to give a result?

Thats pretty much what I wanted. While it would suck to lose the chicken loop, you could just put some flotation on it and you might be able to find it.
Another problem would be keeping the loop stiff so that it would be really easy to hook back in.

the old airush ones and the old dakine ones were the best. Especially the airush with the quickrelease. Too bad there are no more to be found. Easy to hook in and out one handed and really durable.
Stopper balls are a poor substitute for fixed loops. There is no comparison.

The Airush harness loop seemed to have everything so it is a pity they do not sell it anymore.
Maui magic made a swivelling loop which did not have a Q/r so would need to be used with a spreader bar like the SS Surefire which has a release on the hook. They are probably out of production too but I found a couple of places in the UK still advertising them.
eg.

The manufacturers do not seem to think there is a market for flying fixed.
