The new prolimit bar looks good, simple and bomb proof. I think it works fine if you don't wand to be hooked in de c-loop all the time.

i dunno ... if there's much force lasting on the hook, the release could be hard.
and the pro limit hooks always open when i use them ....

Murdock what exactly do you mean? Have you used this quick release system and had it open on you?
The cheapest price in the USA seems to be http://www.windwizards.com/windwizards/ ... aisco.html
Thanks
Dennis

Decided to take lessons and ended up having to use the quick release. Instructor told me not to go past a point. I wasted so much time trying to get my board in position that i went past that point. Was only a small piece of beach to get to now with kids and power lines, to the right of downwind was a rocky jetty and to the left a long seawall with rocks wich i had just dragged past. In trying to control the kite to get me to the one point I had built up too much power and was getting teabagged. I tried to unhook and couldn't and at the speed that i was heading for the kids I had about 3 seconds to get control of my kite, so i used the snap shackle let go the bar and my kite just harmlessly flapped like a flag tethered to my wrist and settled at the waters edge. The snap shackle worked great but the loop was lost. Guess being always attached to the Cloop could be better than replacing a loop everytime i needed to unhook. Then again hopefully I will get good enough not to have to unhook lol

no, i have the wichard shackle mounted on my pro-limit-waist 2001 harness.
what i mean is that the spreader bar opens, not the quick release!

Same problem for me, the attachement system of the spreader bar opens often. Very anoying and not easy to try to put it back under water.
At some times the whole harness got out of me pulled by my leach that is attached to it.
I'm now changing the bar and putting a Da Kin fixed one.
Does anybody else have prob. with pro limit oppenning?????????????

Thks.
