new on this nice forum, new in the kitesport. One dealer push me to F-one 12,1 second one to TORO 14. I am after course , so I can go somewhere still a bit barell downwind on dir. board.
I have bought brunnotti 185 TT, 84 kg and intend to use in wind range from 10,12 knts up to ..we will see. 20 - 23 knt. What I have read here Mach 1 excelent and reliable dealer also is saying no problem to start on this kite also for beginers. I believe him. I would like ask you mainly for your experience in windrange. Mach1 12,1 may I start planning in 12 knots ??I know 15,1 solve the problem easy. Here i am affraid about watterrelaunching. Another advise from here inland guys don´t buy something bigger than 14. Another option is TORO 14. Butg there is no feedback , absolutly nothing from this new kite. Just from Rhino . small range and pure upwind. Thanks for your answers and experience. I am halfprofi in WS material. But kite - no exp. And I would like avoid buying and selling game. Thanks cheers

I would definitely not recommend the F-One High AR kites for a beginner. Go for the Toro.

I started on a Mach1 12.1 and I learnt using it very fast, you learn to use it after one or two sessions. Its a great kite. Don´t know anything about the Toro so I can´t say anything about that... I have tried my Mach 1 in most windranges its supposed to work in... I weigh 68kg and use a Naish TT Directional 5´2 and the kite works fom me in as little as 4-4.5 m/s which is something like 8-10 knots.... " I think" I would really recommend the Mach 1.

Do a search on "Toro"

Both kites will be great.
But I guess the Toro 14 will be easier to restart. Also the trimming of the Mach1 12 has to be exact, otherwise it will open too much and loose power. The Mach 1 is great with a lot of power and fast. But a Toro 14 should be better for the beginning.
14 sqm isn't small, so watch out and have a look at the safety guidelines again.

Go for the Toro. I have the 12 and the 8. Ordered the 16. Fantastic kite!

Do you think that really 12 or 14m2 is a significant diference in the size. I wanted start with 12 but after reading this forum a another as everybody writing " I will going to buy 16 " or "i am waiting on my 18,1" I have decided for 14. what do you think is top end of this Toro 14 ?

I got a TORO 14 yesterday.

Today I used it in conditions up to 17 knots.

I'm 63kg and ride a WT147 with straps.

At 17 knots I felt really powered up but could still handle it (I lost my edge once or twice but regained control soon after).

Jumps were impressive at the kite's top end.

I used the 18 F-One.After three days, the main zipper of the bag was broken and the rubber inside the safetyline, so it extended about
2m. Anyway, meanwhile I know how to relaunch the kite from water, at least if I'm not swimming.It is difficult.
In the lower windrange it does tend to stall.
But in its normal windrange, it is a rocket.
Upwind is much better than the Toro.
Could compare it with an 17ARX.
