I'm just waiting for someone to suggest a Tuk-Tuk. This thread would then officially be bloody usuless.

When I'm feelin' nippy nerdy and don't wanna bother with the Lincoln and all the extraneous karma it entails (environmental crap) I take my solar powered Vanagon. It's a real chick magnet so I have to plan ahead and make a quick stop at the local 7-11 to stock up on extra bladders.

That's not a real Tuk-Tuk. The passengers are smiling.
BS: Vans are dirt cheap over here now as nobody wants to pay 5 bucks per 10 km. Unfortunately, I am one of those who rather spend the money on gear than on fuel.

Toyota Tacoma Quad cab long bed.
I won't pretend to tell you that it gets good mileage, but it is a great gear/people hauler. You just have to fight the urge to put the huge, bubba/redneck tires on it and it isn't horrible on gas for a 4wd.
