in addition to our existing maps for Wind Reports, Forecasts and Superforecasts, we now also offer maps for Wind Statistics. Now you can see in which region of a country the wind is strongest in the current month. Please note that all of our Wind Statistics are based on real measurements, no forecast values are used in the computation of our Wind Statistics.



The wind arrows indicate the average strength and prevailing wind direction at the weather stations in the current month, just as in our Wind Report maps. If you click on an arrow, you will be directed to our existing Wind Statistic page for this spot, e.g. Cape Hatteras.

Thanks for letting us know about this new feature - I love the wind statistics info you guys provide. Is there anyway to see the Wind Statistics Maps for other months besides the current?

sorry for my late answer, we were too busy doing other soon to be released stuff for windfinder.com
We had requests for wind statistic maps for all months several times now. We are already discussing this internally, there is a good chance that you will be able to see wind statistic maps for every month soon!

we just added this feature. Now you are able to browse every month of our wind statistic maps. Just use the select box on the left hand side to select your preferred month, e.g.:
