I don't really think so as the 08 is just released ...
First the Rebel will be released, the rest will follow in the winter period normally ...

http://www.windgenuity.com.au/kiteboard ... 09evo.html
This is off the Austrilasia importers site, from what I can tell it's a 5 strut kite. Any one care to fill in on where this kite actually fits in the range of North Kites? And what it's true role in life is. They (North) seem to be diluting their range a little bit.
I'm not sold on this years rebel they've got a nasty habit of folding in the middle every once and a while and while you can get it out it's a major pain in the a$$.
Edit:
I've seen it happen 5 times, which is 5 times to many.
One thing I'll point out is everytime I've seen it happen some one relatively new to the sport has been flying the kite or they didn't have the clips closed or didn't have it pumped up enough. Which isn't an excuse because I've seen all the other one pumps flowen with there clips open, under preasure and by noobies and not fold. It's the only bad thing you can put up against this kite that I've found.

"it (evo) bridges the gap perfectly between the rebel and vegas"
is it really gonna be THAT good?
that statement means it has some big shoes to fill. and it's messing me up now, don't know whether to go for rebel or wait for the evo....
I've been torn between getting a rebel or a vegas the last 2 seasons, is this the kite I've been looking for?

I'm looking to buy/trade late to end of the season. I love a Vegas I actually like the 07 (I know call me weird). I also like the look of the Dos but not to thrilled about the bar set up (doesn't meet MY safety criteria). Be interesting to see them in the flesh and if they live up to the hype, the Rebel did so I guess they go that going for them

I'd suggest you to try the Revolt before buying...
I did and the only positive point I could find was the auto-relaunch: it really works great!
otherwise the kite is an hard-puller (maybe you like this behaviour, but be sure to pick up the right kite size if you're willing to add a Revolt to your quiver), hard bar feeling and absorbs the gusts using your arms as bungees...if you know what I mean.
Of course this is just my personal opinion.
