Hello,
I lost my kiteboard about a week ago and it was found on Saturday about 60km/37miles (direct line according to Google Earth) from where I lost it. It just washed up at the beach and someone found it on the early morning walk and sent me an email.
I would be interested to know how far your lost gear traveled before it was found? Any interesting stories?
Thomas

Confirmed:
I've found, and heard of plenty of boards found just before hydro-electric dams in the Columbia River after traveling miles. From the spit in HR to Bonneville Dam may be 15 miles? I've heard of plenty of boards being pulled out at The Dalles dam.
Heard of:
A board lost on the coast in northern Oregon, found in Central Oregon months later.

the local school here in st lucia had a cabrinha board wash up one day covered in barnacles and shit, reckon it came from barbados, nearly 100miles away. whats the chances of the board rolling into the only kite beach with so much other coastline to hit?
