Split board??

Postby kiter147 » Sun Oct 26, 2008 3:19 pm

while i was looking at one of the posts on this forum there was an advertizement that said something about a split board. so i clicked on it and it showed that you can unscrew this board in hallve so its smaller. but i dont think it is a board that can handle heavy impacts, or can it?

since this is the first concern everyone would have, I would think that they tested those boards specially for that...otherwise who would buy it?

hello to everyone of the designer Riccardo Splitboard
excuse my poor English
I can try to clarify your question,
I made the loading tests on the split, several layers of carbon in connection make it more resistant to a normal board

got to check out one while in fiji, an Italian girl had one and it looked very nice but hers was too small for me to try.
The finish is excellent.

goodluck with it.

The ones I've seen for sale, Newind Splitwake is the brand I think, are ove $1500. Ouchie!.

Nice concept but I hope they can get the price down a little bit.

I know it's a pretty expensive but:
1) superior quality and fully hand made
2) extremely thin and lightweight
3) extremely high performance board, due to the carbon
4) can sustain huge abuse

5) it's fully customizable (shape, graphics, stiffness, etc.)
6) and this is one piece of gear you definitely want to have when packing your stuff for a kite trip ;)
