3rd time this happens to me on my Jarvis Slingshot, the screw holding the foot straps pops out. I have to ride back, WakeSkate style!
I do not want to over torque the set up, any advice on making this better. I was told that Loctite may do the trick.
Thanks!

It'll break your leg before you rip the board apart, trust me!

Yea it's frustrating, I had this problem with my old drake.
Go to a marine store and buy marine grade (i.e. any) two part epoxy and a syringe (they all have them). Mix the epoxy and inject it into the screw hole. When it dries re-drill the hole the same diameter as the original hole. Be very careful not to drill too deep. When you put you're footstraps back on loosen them off a bit.
As much as I love Slingshot boards (just bought a new SX136) I wish they'd put inserts in them. I'm keeping my old Kite Animal 150 because it has inserts, it's bullet proof and when the footstrap pulls out of my Sling I know I can grab it the kite animal and will never have a problem with it.

Just use locktite - I use on all my kiteboards (& sailboards, snowboards, mountainboards, etc.) - There are two grades of locktite - one is meant to be semi-permanent (blue) the other is designed to be removed (red). Use the red - it works great - DON'T use epoxy - you may want to remove the strap at some point.
Chris
PS; do you find that board a little slow with the big kite sizes (15m2 and up)?

Loctite is definitely good for preventing the screws from loosening off which is one of the things that causes them to pull out. I was explaining a repair for after they'd pulled out.
In answer to your question the kite animal is a slow board but it works great for holding down a LOT of kite. I've only used the SX136 a couple of times and it's quicker than the kite animal.

ahah, the old slingshots dont pull straps out thread rears its head.
from having and repairing one myself.
they do have inserts..... little grey glass loaded nylon ones.
but the problem is with the screws not the inserts.
quite simply you are meant to use high tpi machine screws for composite plastics and not low tpi wide thread self tappers.
thats all it is guys wrong kind of screw.
i drilled and taped mine out, put a helicoil in it.
great boards otherwise.
