The fact that you admit to having flown kites near powerlines before makes you look even more of a DICK!
Your only redeeming character is that you`ve got the balls to publish a story of that magnitude of stupidity! I`m suprised you`ve managed to switch on the computer with your limited knowledge of electricity!
Stay in, watch TV and eat junk! Don`t leave the sofa!

Thanks for Sharing.
It's always tempting to think we can get away with something like having powerlines upwind if it hasn't caused problems in the past. I'm glad you shared the story about leaning the hard way because now it was a learning experience for all of us.
Too bad this site is full of People who feel the need to reprimand you as if you didn't already learn your lesson. Obviously this is a situation where the natural consequences were enough to learn from without dickheads on the internet thinking they are smarter than you for never having taken any risks in their life.

wow i cant believe that .... well at least nobody got hurt but what about of all the animals ???/and since it was a kite with handles couldnt you tell her to just let go of one of the handles??????so this wouldnt have happened?
