Unhooking Boxer SLE....

Postby mikewang » Wed Dec 10, 2008 6:37 pm

im planning to work on my unhooked stuff. if i fly 2007 boxer SLE for that, i feel i am quite limited.......

but i am not sure since my technique is not good.

any comments? should i switch kites?

i think i can pick up quiver for 2006 fuels. or 2006 torch...

Yes you should. In 06, go for the Torch IMHO.

definitely switch to torch or fuels for unhooking. the Fuel and Torch are great for anything you want to do. i still ride my 06 Fuel/Vegas/Torch even tho i have the 09 Torches now

alright cool. i got 2 questions about switching to Cs.

how do you relaunch. and i dont understand how 5th line can add extra depower to the kite, i thought it was only to flag it out for safety.....

The 5th line offers more stability, the relaunch is super easy pull the 5th line to get the kite on an angle and one back line, and you'll see...

Naish had a double depower bar, wen you push out, it would pull the 5th line in, and thus add to the depower, now if you are planning to ride unhooked a lot, I would not use the DD bar...for unhooked riding you need to be rightly powered anyhow. The new c kites have a very good wind range so I would not worry too much about it.
Going from the boxer SLE to a new torch you'll notice a world of difference in performance
