This year StarKites are running with a two kite range. The Starkites SBOW for the beginner to intermediate rider learning to kitesurf and the StarKites ExA for the intermediate to advanced rider looking for a kite with the safety of the SBOW, but a more agressive and powerful kite that will give you a bit of a thrill on the water. This is the first time we have seen an SBOW or ExA, the kites are full of extra little details and features that we found impressive.
First of all here's some photos comparing the two kites. The Red kite is the StarKites SBOW 2009 and the Aqua kite is the StarKites ExA 2009. As you can see from the photos the SBOW looks like a very beginner friendly bow kite with an incresed gap between the 3 center struts. The ExA however has more of a Hybrid look to it.........
If the wind is kind to us this weekend we will test these kites and report back!
