Looks fantastic! Did you put cloth on the outer white part around the rails? It looks cut away, and hard to put the cloth on,even with a vacuum bag. What cloth did you use? Looks like 9oz Sglass on deck? Or something lighter?

Nice job on your woody mako wide.
How does it ride? Did you copy a real one exactly, or is yours a bit different?

What material is the mold form made out of? It would need to have rocker and bottom contour and it would also need to be non porous or else you would pull air bubbles through it while vacuum baging. Is it sheet metal?

The form is made out of 4mm masonite/MDF. I screwed it down to the workbench with spacers, starting in the middle and working outwards. I went slow- otherwise it will crack. The spacers are 3 longitudinal ribs- 1x1 inch and those are blocked up in turn for concave and rocker.
I then put a layer of glass and epoxy onto it, cause it would not hold a vacuum.
Its amazing how much shape you can get into masonite and plywood- made some tortured plywood kayaks years ago.
Sheet metal would probably not work- not enough pliability.
