Hi all !

Can anybody offer me any advice on which 8m kite to go for.

The supertype is approx 20% more expensive than the X2, is this due to the quality?

Need to decide today, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Coxy

I dont know how the Supertype could be better quality than the X2, let alone 20% better quality. It does have 20% more screen printing on it though!

Good point !

Perhaps the paint is expensive !!!!

Here in the UK an 8m X2 will set you back about £ 680.00 and a Supertype in the same size will be £ 850.00. Just wondered how they justified the price difference ??

Ah non-global pricing. Supertypes/RRDs are about 20% cheaper than other brands here in west oz. Italian styling at its best and the fluro colurs do glow in the dark.

the supertype looks like a disco

we'll see how durable the X2 and many other new kites are - as far as i know, naish still uses the cheapest fabric for their kites.

also the takoon does not look like a kite you'll pass on to your first born son when you meet the maker ...

i'm hoping to be wrong, though ...

on the far flung west coast around perth. Got my grubby little paws on the 12 ST with the 16 and 19 on order. Luv the 12 a big step in preformance on the mid aspect 11.9. Not sure if the high aspect kite will suit me but decided that i liked the extra lift and hang and speed of the ST.

Hoping the 12 ST will be my 20-30 knot kite for this coming summer
