The 2009 CORE Online Magazine Slider and Kicker Jam
January 22-26, 2009. Woodman Point, WA, Australia

After the enormous success of last year’s inaugural Jam, we’ve stepped it up a notch for 2009. Put simply, the 2009 Jam will be off the hook.
The first thing you may notice about this year’s Jam is that it will be held over 5 epic days. Running from Thursday the 22nd of January until Australia Day, Monday the 26th of January.
This event is primarily a freeriding photo and video shooting opportunity but with so may top names coming we thought we’d let them duke it out amongst themselves in an effort to see some of the sickest featuring riding the kiteboarding world has ever seen. This year’s event will feature a pro rider competition section. The first two days will be warm up for these guys and the long weekend will be the competition days.
We’ve invited some of Australia’s best wakeboarders to join us in the mornings for their own competition on the features. The best part about having the wakeboarders coming along is not just for their insane feature riding skills, but to judge the kiteboarders in the pro competition.
CORE will have photographers and videographers on hand non-stop to capture the best action. Including daily sunset and flash shoots, and a helicopter shoot on two afternoons.
For those who have never ridden a slider or hit a kicker or you just want a few tips to improve your riding, The “Art of Rail Riding Clinic,†brought to you by the Steez Team at Slingshot and Mystic, will be conducting daily clinics. Head to http://www.seabreeze.com.au/Events/WA/K ... linic.aspx to make your booking.
For those looking to ride on a day to day basis, there will be a $10/day charge. Those wanting to ride everyday and/or enter the comp, there will be a $50 charge for the five days. This includes an event t-shirt which can also be separately bought for $25.
To ride in this event you need to be a member of WAKSA (or AKSA affiliate).
