Hi .... did you guys tried any of the SURF STRAP PADS from DaKine, NPI, etc..?? "Turn any board into a Kite Surfboard, Tow Bowboard, and still be able to remove the straps and use as a surfboard!" http://shop.surftech.com/s.nl/sc.11/category.112322/.fdoes it still work after several wave sessions ? did you try to surf (without the strap and kite) with those pads ? MANY THANKS !!

I have the surftech, they are still fine - no peeling. I made sure the board was very clean and then sanded were the pads would be before placing the pads. The surftech straps are junk and I wish their was more insert holes for adjustment. I will try the NSI next time, looks like they have more inserts.

i got the surftech, too.i'm sure the board was really clean when i placed the straps, but the front pad detached a little just at the third wave session.i've fixed it with extra glue.No troubles with the second one. i agree: they need more insert holes.

..... just another question, if you remove the straps, can you surf ?? are the inserts too bulky so you cannot lay and paddle easyly ??
Hi, thanks for your feedback !

The Surftech pads are very uncomfortable. Limited strap positing. They don't feel like a surf pad to me.

RRD has some. Instead of buying the largest kitesurf board 6'1 I consider buying their surf board 6'3 and use these pads. But how do you know where to put tem exactly?

I use the blue Surf and Skim pads pictured above and no problems after at least 100 days. The NSI Proton strap is much more comfortable than the Surftech.

Before you put your pads down, ride it strapless (with wax only). This way, you will have a better idea of where your straps should go(where it's dirtiest). Also, after you remove the wax (don't bake it in the sun, a few minutes is all it takes), give it a light sanding or else your pads will be more likely to peel off.
