Hey guys after building my door, I'm going to build my next freestyle twin on a rocker table.


What material do you use for the top surface of your rocker table and where is it commercially available.

I've gone through a search on this form and yahoo board builders and have come up empty on what the preferred material is, from photo's It looks like a sheet of white plastic likely treated with wax to aide in removal, however I don't have a clue where to find said sheet of plastic

I used fiber board with two reinforcements along the edges.
The fiber board has a smooth plastic surface, but I prefer to lay
a thick sheet of 30 mil POLYETHYLENE film as a release surface.

Mylar is also good for a really high gloss mirror finish.

Another good place to get materials from like ABS sheets fro rails and flex tips is a sign making supply place.

Just ask a local store who made their signs up front and call them to get their supplier.

I just glued some formica laminate to a piece of 1/4 inch masonite (with contact cement) and then put that on a piece of 3/8 inch plywood. Plenty flexible for twin tips and cost less than $20. Before the first layup I hit it with 5 coats of mold release and now only need one coat prior to layup.

To adjust the rocker just screw down the middle and shim up the the ends to whatever height you want. For a progressive rocker just add more screws further out from the center like in the photo below.
