This type of post will do no good and Im saddened that someone would try and start something like this.
All this will do is draw out anyone who ever had a problem with a kite so they can bash the brand. What good comes of this?
In my opinion, a thread on what is the best gear you have owned would more benfit the rider community.

Umm I would have to say even though I love Naish kites (torchs)
and the bars are dope, they are the least durable things in the world
and it pisses me off so much

I don't mind telling the truth
Worst kite I owned was the naish x3. Pure crap.
Worst bows I tried were airush halo (first year, never tried anothr and best waroo (maybe a second year one?). Both were terrible. Hideous kites. Wouldn't give one to someone I hated. Not that I hate anyone of course.
For great ideas that work really well but fall apart I'd list dakine nitrous shorts harness
Same goes for every wetsuit I've ever owned
Naish bar with the rusting steel core that sinks is a terrible bar (ones I saw were with terafactyl kites) any bar that sinks or rusts should be recalled just on general principal
Nicest bar I've seen is new eclipse(09). (bar itself) very nice.
Best kites ever were airush 5.5 generator (08) followed by 9m reactor(09) and 7.5gen(08)
They should never have changed kite designers. Absolute fools who had no idea they had gold and marketed garbage instead. Pity.
But I've shaped a few boards that sucked too. I guess the difference is that I would never have taken a bad product to production

the 12m first bow kite by naish whatever it was called... plus their stiffer that stiff itself kneecrushing early twintips - hmmm but they gone a bit far in the floppy direction now though what with the boards bending with a reverse rocker as you go over a wave!! They need some love too so I like the torch ,loved the raven and they made some harnesses that were real good for back support with metal rods in them - never got back ache using these...

Chikin loop shackle, lifejacket, kook cord, helmet, boardshorts over the fullsuit, seat harnesses, that line organizer that looked like a shlong, goggles, and those mini handpumps that came with kites back in the day, wait, I never used any of those things . . . .

My Razzie awards go to:
- worst kite ever: Slingshot Link 2007, for "the kite that fell all alone from the sky"
- worst bar ever: Wipika Carbon 2002, for " poshy and... nothing else"
- worst board ever: Naish TT 2002 for "oh, was it a board? I thought I was riding a granite block"
Nowadays you'll only find good gear. Your biggest concern will be finding what suits you best.
